The New Commodore Suite Hosts The First Civil Wedding Ceremony At The Holmwood Hotel

The 7th May 2011, saw the first civil wedding ceremony take place in the new sea facing Commodore Suite. The Wedding of Natasha & Gary all went to plan with even the weather being well behaved. The Head Registrar for the Island conducted the proceedings and even started the ceremony remarking on what a great new venue the Commodore Suite is for Weddings.

Powerboat Festival returns to Cowes

Prime Location for Prime Views

Round 4 of the Powerboat P1 2011 AquaX Championship will now be held on the 27th August in conjunction with the British Powerboat Festival on the Isle of Wight. The three-day extravaganza based in Cowes and organised by the British Powerboat Racing Club will feature a variety of high-class powerboat racing, including the famous Cowes - Torquay - Cowes run. P1 AquaX will be supporting the festival on the Saturday with a full programme of match and rally racing. The racing will take place in front of the crowds off Egypt Point and promises to be an exciting addition to the event.

April - Fuction Room Nearly Completed.

The new function room at the New Holmwood Hotel is now almost complete, and will be finished before the deadline date. The new and as yet unnamed room boasts superb sea views over the Solent with the entire front being glass fronted. Bookings for our new facility have already started flooding in as groups and parties take advantage of a new room with a view.

New Function Facilities Underway

We are pleased to announce that work has now commenced on the building of an additional function room at the New Holmwood Hotel, The outdoor swimming pool will be replaced with Sea Facing room giving more scope for holding functions, dinners, private parties and of course  weddings. We will not only be keeping the patio seating area (Very popular for summer boat spotters) we have begun work to slightly enlarge it.
